Welcome  to  our store, New Milford Hardware. We have owned this store for 11 years. What began as a

small mom and pop store has tripled in size, but we still maintain an old fashioned country feel. We

have  a  good  selection of all the typical hardware lines, including hand and power tools, plumbing

and  heating,  electrical,  lawn  and garden, paint, lumber, insulation, blocks and a small sporting

goods section. We are especially deep in electrical and plumbing.

Our  store  is open 7 days a week. Our goal is to help you with your product needs and to do that in

the friendliest manner possible.

Meet the Owners:

Gary  and  Barb  Stone  have  lived  in  Susquehanna  County all their lives. We owned another local

hardware  store  for 13 years, but sold it when our twin daughters, Beth and Becky were born. In the

ten  years  that  followed,  Barb owned a real estate company and Gary owned a sawmill. In 1999, the

opportunity  to purchase New Milford Hardware presented itself, and we suddenly found ourselves back

in  the  business we love! In our spare time, we enjoy attending our daughters activities and hiking

in  our  woods.  Gary volunteers with local youth athletic programs and Barb teaches the high school

girl's Sunday School Class at South New Milford Baptist Church.

Kyle  Herbert  began working with us when he was still in high school. He went on to earn a business

degree  from Broome Community College while continuing to work full time at the store. Several years

ago,  we  invited  him  to  join us as owners. He has extensive product knowledge and helps keep our

store  "young".  Most  recently,  he has participated in the "Leadership 2020" program. In his spare

time, he enjoys his motorcycle and snowmobile and his house in the country.
